The relationships between them and their sign placement reveal our innate character, which, contra to the book title, often cuts across conventional gender stereotypes.

Chart Synthesis - A method of Chart Interpretation

When it is considered that interpreting a birth chart involves combining the individual meanings of, at a minimum, the ten planets and the five major aspects they make to each other, the twelve signs and the corresponding twelve houses and several other key points, such as the so called four angles of the chart comprising the Ascendant (Asc) or Rising sign and its opposite point the Descendant (Dsc) and the Midheaven (MC) and its opposite point the Immum coeli (IC), plus the North and South nodes of the Moon and the planetoid Chiron, the need for a method of synthesising all these elements is readily apparent.

Can You Transcend Your Cart?

My first response to this question is to ask why would you want to? It's not as if the chart limits us in any way. The chart is simply a map that can be used to guide our growth into that which we are ‘meant to’ become, just as all forms of life evolve in the way that is intrinsically right for them, whether that manifests as an acorn developing into a fully grown oak tree, a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, or a newborn child realizing its destiny to become an astrologer or a buddha - an awakened one, whatever the case maybe.

Do Spiritual Masters Transcend Their Astrological Charts?

The view is sometimes put that the more spiritually evolved we are the less influence astrology has over us. According to this view, spiritual masters transcend their charts. The thinking behind this view seems to be that a birth chart, with its inherent structural patterns and implied schedule of unfolding, is a limitation in some way.
