Qualifications

Varij holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in philosophy from the University of Melbourne (topping the year in Philosophy of Religion), as well as a Diploma of Education through La Trobe University.

He was a tutor in philosophy at both universities, before becoming an actor and musician. He then found his true vocation as an astrologer in the early ‘80s, and completed two years of advanced study through the College of Humanistic Astrology in Melbourne. Varij also takes a keen interest in politics and the economy – having majored  in economics as well as philosophy for his BA.

Media & Performance

Varij is interviewed regularly on local radio, and was a featured writer in the annual WellBeing Astrology Magazine of 2005 and 2006. He was also profiled recently in Asia Spa Magazine (March/April 2009). His previous writings also included a regular column in the national Family Circle magazine.

Varij is well-known in the Byron Bay area for a series of acclaimed Astro-Drama theatre productions he created and directed between 1992 and 1996, involving hundreds of people in total..
